The following describe the practices and methods that will be applied whilst spending time at the retreat:
  • 1. Tantra
  • The core principal of Tantra is once we have realised that we are ultimately free of fixed existence, we should realise that we are free from any constraints to our potential. The literal translation of tantra is 'libertation through expansion', tan meaning expansion and tra meaning liberation.

The retreat uses a variety tantric yoga, tantric asanas, pranayamas and meditation to attain this higher state of self and expression. Throughout the retreat, valuable time is spent understanding what tantra is in its purest form before implementing its ancient technique.
  • 2. Yoga
  • Yoga has a variety of translations, but generally the universally recognised translation is the 'union' or 'connection'. In its highest philosophical sense, yoga means conscious connection of ones inner self with its highest being. At a more practical level, we become more aware of who we are.

The art of tantric yoga uses the union of ones inner and external self to liberate the energy within, and is an essential component of the retreat which is practiced regularly to keep the body feeling rejuvenated.
  •  3. Pranayama
  • Pranayama or directly translated from its sanskriti origin is known as 'the use of positive oxidation'. Using particular breathing techniques, the flow of air is directed through body channels to charge all oxygen particles, and is the most reliable source of internal and external rejuvenation.
Pranayama has shown to have incredible effects on the health and vitality by reenergising the total body and has a direct effect on the flow of sexual energy. We spend a great deal of time and energy ensuring that the correct pranayama technique is applied in order to develop a solid foundation for relaxation and enlightenment.
  •  4. Asana
  • Asanas are 'physical postures' or 'poses' used to reinforce the correct body shape of human physiology, and serve the purpose of directing prana 'charged energy' through particular channels within the body. Tantra has its own Asanas used to release the energy at particular points in the body, which we practice regularly. At the retreat we introduce students to the variety of Asana positions to create different benefits to all parts of the body.
  •  5. Mantra
  • When practiced correctly, the science of Mantra propels a word or phrase with power and rhythmic incantation through the medium of the ethers as vibrational patterns that affect the human mind and body in extraordinary ways. A perfected Mantra can be used as a tool for spiritual purification, for shifting material reality and dramatically improving the quality of life. Mantras are comprised of Divine words, for example " Om" is said to be the signature of God.

Mantra chanting can create a wave pattern around students, which helps you enter a state of deep meditation and experience union with the divine. During the retreat, Mantra forms an essential part of entering a state of meditation, and is practiced regularly to enter a higher state.
  •  6. Meditation
  • Meditation is something which can occur naturally or spontaneously to provide a sense of oneness or connectedness, and can also result from the practice of concentration. Concentration becomes meditation when the practioner looses the distinction between the self and object of concentration.

Meditation through Tantra when it occurs naturally or spontaneously is likened to a gift from spirit, an insight or revelation which may never be repeatable. At the retreat we spend dedicated morning slots meditating, as meditation through regular practices over time becomes easier and very rewarding with practice, meditation is a valuable tool to ease stress and gain insight and direction in life.
  •  7. Kundalini
  • Kundalini is the most respected and effective way to attain the highest state in spirituality, and is awakened during the application of tantra.

Kundalini Yoga, the 'Yoga of Awareness', consist of simple yogic techniques that can be applied by anyone regardless of age of physical ability. It is its own complete science with her very own set of pranayam breathing techniques, Asana yoga postures, mantra and meditation, designed to provide you with the experience of your highest consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini. The applications of Kundalini are incredible which can be applied to achieve youthful vigour, a healthy vitality, balanced hormone gland release, spinal fluid release and energise the grey matters in the brain.
  •  8. Lingam and Yoni Suddhi
  • Lingam is a symbol of worship to the Hindu god Shiva, and Yoni in sanskriti means divine passage, and Lingam and Yoni together is a spiritual union between members of the opposite sex enabling a deeper connection on both a mental and physical level. Used in ancient Indian traditions to energise relationships, it can be attained with joint meditation and massage. Our programme instructs the special methods to attain the Lingam Yoni states to affect relationships in all aspects of life.
